Research Analyst
I conduct data collection, management, and research for Louis Berroteran, who heads The Berroteran Group. I conduct research using the Internet to locate and compile information as requested for document creation. Windows software tools are used for creating documents using the information compiled through a variety of Internet resources and then sent by E-mail.

Internship
As an intern to Nancy Boerner, I assisted her with ordering new library materials by performing new title searches, primarily for French and Italian books, in the library catalog for availability, reading book reviews for newly published books and deciding whether or not they should be ordered. I also assisted her with examining gift books and deciding if they should be added to the collection and examining monographs and serials to determine selections for the Auxiliary Library Facility (ALF). Other duties included attending meetings, assisting patrons with reference questions and locating library materials in the stacks. For Charles Hoffman, I checked claims for EU publications to see if they were received and I also created a web page containing information resources about Italian culture.

Library Services Student Assistant
As the student assistant to Linda Kelsey, the Library Services Associate, I handled rare and fragile materials and I performed preservation tasks that encompassed sewing and stapling paperbacks. For the more fragile materials, I had to stuff them into envelopes. I also checked in publications recently cataloged for their condition and checked in new government publications by first entering their unique ID number before checking them in OCLC to see if they have been cataloged. In addition, I processed returns from the preservation department.

I assisted in shelving books, shelfreading, searching for lost and missing books, and assisted patrons in locating library materials in the stacks.

I performed circulation desk duties, which including charging and discharging books, distributing closed reserve materials to patrons as needed, and assisting patrons in responding to reference-related questions using print resources, electronic databases, the Web, and library catalogs.
