Info Career Trends - Sept. 2006 Editor's Note

Today's topic is near and dear to my heart, since I've written a book and continue to write a column on the subject. There's always something more to say, though, and today's contributors share their perspectives and stories on topics from peer reviewing to book reviewing.

I do hope their words inspire some of you to put pen to paper or fingers to keyboard. Writing for publication allows us to participate in the ongoing professional conversation that underpins librarianship, and helps authors develop both their individual careers and the field as a whole.

Inspired? Come write for Info Career Trends! Currently, I'm looking for contributors to the January 2006 (Getting Started) and March 2006 (Getting Involved) issues. Take a look at the contributor guidelines and descriptions of upcoming themes at http://www.lisjobs.com/newsletter/theme.htm, then e-mail your query to editor@lisjobs.com.
