Orphan Petition

Just a brief adoption update. Our home study is done, and today we are mailing in the ominous sounding Application for Advance Processing of Orphan Petition -- with our check made out to "The Department of Homeland Security." This includes a "biometrics fee" for, yes, a third set of fingerprints. Getting closer...!

Oh, getting closer indeed! I started to write you an email about a week ago to ask for an update, but got distracted and never finished it.

The 1-600A is a great step forward. I am sending you speedy referral vibes.

We are thinking of doing a summer hosting program for an older child next summer... just gotta figure out the logistics.
