Holy Cicadas, Batman
I may go into hibernation for a few weeks: The 17-year cicadas are expected to burrow out around May 22, so I'm trying to desensitize myself with YouTube.

Actually, they're kinda cute in a red-eyed buggy way. ;-)
I heard we can expect 1.5 million of the little buggers per acre. When I was working in my garden yesterday I saw enough pre-emergence burrows to make me believe it.
My older son turned 17 this year; it will be the first time he sees it. I'm looking forward to walking in a couple heavily wooded places I know ... the buzzing is incredible!

Good luck. We had the 17-year cicadas a couple of years ago (2004). They were everywhere. My husband and I took pictures: http://www.thirstycat.com/gallery/v/nature/emergence04/
