Publication Presentation
This June, I'm heading to Florida to give a couple of back-to-back workshops on writing for publication to a couple of groups of library folks. As I'm putting these together and thinking about what content to include, I thought I might ask for others' opinions. What topics would be most useful to you as an attendee at this sort of workshop?

If they're academic library folks, could you please please talk about open access and self-archiving?
Along similar lines to Dorothea, the where to publish question - weighing up 'prestige', accessibility, and so on. Where do you get info about what it's like to work with a particular journal or editor? etc. Academics I work with struggle with this too.
I do definitely plan on talking about open access and archiving -- and was going to mention dLIST and E-LIS as well as institutional repositories. (These will be mixed groups, some academic, some not.) And thanks, Fiona, good points there as well.
