I think it all too typical, unfortunately. Everybody gets money EXCEPT the librarian, who isn't supposed to ask for it because aren't we Dedicated Public Servants and junk?

Ironic, disgusting, what they all said. The amount of highly specific writing that this profession expects people to do for free never fails to astonish me.

(I blog for free--but I blog about what I want, when I want. I don't write on topic, on deadline, unless I'm getting something--preferably money--in return.)
