Reasons to be glad you don't live in Chicago like me
Because, if you don't live here, you probably haven't been subjected to a week of "The Superbowl Shuffle," alternating with rousing renditions of "Bear down, Chicago Bears." On the radio. In the mall. In restaurants. In the grocery store...
That's all. Back to our regularly-scheduled blogging now.

Oh, Bears craziness is in Champaign now, too. This morning, on my way to work, I noticed several local gas stations had displays and tents of Bears t-shirts outside. This is the second time I've seen such a thing--the last time was when the Illinois men's basketball team went to the Final Four in '05.
The oddest thing? The tents were purple and gold--Minnesota Vikings colors! You'd think t-shirt salespeople here in orange-and-blue Illini country would have some orange and blue tents!
The Super Bowl Shuffle reminds me of 7th grade. Not a good thing.

Yeah...along with the "Banking on the Bears" (I think it was Chase that had it?) and the Hancock Building in a permanent light of blue and orange my favorite question came from New York...
"So are the Art Institute Lions wearing Bears Jerseys?"
I'm afraid to go and look.
