The Hooksett Public Library is seeking a dynamic, innovative children’s librarian with a vision for and a commitment to developing an outstanding 21st century children’s library program and who will enthusiastically represent the library with the schools and larger community.
M.L.S. or equivalent graduate degree from an institution accredited by the American Library Association is required. Three to five years prior children’s librarian experience including collection development and programming. A personable attitude, strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to develop comfortable working relationships with children, parents and staff is highly desirable. Knowledge of integrated library systems required. Familiarity and understanding of the role of appropriate technology in children’s services.
Beginning salary $36,000.00 - $39,000.00 commensurate with experience
