The North Tonawanda Public Library is seeking an energetic and progressive thinking librarian for the full-time Library Director III position.  As chief administrator of the library this person will supervise the professional and clerical staff, develop and supervise the budget, manage policies, procedures, marketing, and community outreach under the direction of the Board of Trustees.

The candidate shall have a knowledge of library administration, excellent communication and customer service skills, thorough knowledge of the applications of technology to library operations, the ability to exercise leadership, and work easily with personnel and the community to achieve the goals of the Library.

Requirements:  Master’s in Library and Information Sciences from an ALA accredited school, six or more years of satisfactory professional experience and at least  two years of administrative library experience.
