 The Dayton Metro Library is seeking a Teen Librarian and a Teen Specilaist.

Job Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Branch Manager. Provides library users with assistance in reference, readers' advisory, and in the use of library materials and reference resources. Participates in the development of the branch collection profile, evaluates and suggests titles for purchase or replacement. Develops and coordinates teen programs and activities which address community needs and offer tie-ins to library materials. Maintains attractive appearance of teen area. Provides service and maintains liaisons with schools and community agencies. Attends Teen Quarterly meeting and performs circulation responsibilities and related activities as needed.

Job Qualifications: Knowledge and appreciation of teen literature, audiovisual materials, Web sites and other electronic media, and materials. Ability to work effectively with schools and other community organizations; ability to develop programs and services to meet teen's needs; and ability to use Internet and other new information technologies required. Valid Ohio driver's license, acceptable motor vehicle record, and continuous insurability required. MLS (preferred) or its equivalent in education and experience is required.

Salary and Benefits: Salary $37,793-$47,673 and excellent benefit package.
