Two part time Readers' Advisory Assistant positions are available for someone who enjoys books, movies, and music and likes to talk about them. The job includes staffing a busy public service desk fulfilling requests from both Adults and Teens for popular materials.
In addition it includes responsibilities for: materials selection assistance, library instruction, compiling reader aids, assembling book displays, maintaining files, assisting with event preparation and execution. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills, writing and speaking skills, skill with working as part of a team, and skill with the use of a computer. Bachelor's Degree is required. $14.65 per hour.
POSITION ONE:
Monday 11 am to 3 pm
Tuesday 11 am to 3 pm
Wednesday 11 am to 3 pm
Thursday 5 pm to 9 pm (every other week)
Rotation: Friday 6 pm to 10 pm (roughly 1 in 18)
Rotation: Saturday/Sunday (roughly 1 in 10 OR one day apiece 1 in 5)
POSITION TWO:
Tuesday 1 pm to 5 pm
Wednesday 1 pm to 5 pm
Thursday 5 pm to 9 pm (every other week)
Friday 1 pm to 5 pm
Rotation: Friday 2 pm to 10 pm (roughly 1 in 18)
Rotation: Saturday/Sunday (roughly 1 in 10 OR one day apiece 1 in 5)
