Bricker & Eckler LLP, one of central Ohio's leading law firms, has an opening for a Research Librarian.  The Research Librarian works closely with the Director to help develop, implement, and provide information services to the Firm's attorneys, administration, and staff.

Principle duties include:  Performing legal and non-legal research using print and electronic resources; Staying current on rapidly changing technology developments relating to online research services and assisting users with questions relating to these services; Performing interlibrary loan activities to expand library resources through borrowing from a wide variety of resources; Providing computer training for various library research applications and troubleshooting problems; Actively marketing library services within the firm; Preparing bibliographies, usage guides, and legal research aids; Participating in collection development including online and print resources; Assisting the Director of Library Services with administration of the department as needed

Qualifications/Requirements:  Master's Degree in Library and Information Services/Master's Degree in Library Science (or pending MLIS/MLS); Relevant experience in a legal or corporate library preferred; Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Lexis, Westlaw and other electronic research services; The qualified candidate should also have excellent organizational skills, ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and to assign priorities effectively, good attention to detail, excellent problem solving skills, an outstanding service orientation, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and the ability to work well both individually and in a team environment
