 Join an exciting team of professionals providing access to electronic information, and coordinating training on the same for a highly educated adult audience.  The ASRC contract at the USPTO is looking for an electronic-resources / web librarian.

Responsibilities include:

Coordinating and promoting a series of demonstrations of search tools and electronic resources for advanced adult learners (Patent Examiners).  This position requires strong interpersonal, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.  The Electronic Resources/Web Librarian works closely with database and web portal vendors as well as library and contract management.  Other duties include assisting with managing a complex SharePoint architecture and providing support to website developers and other librarians in the information access division.  This librarian may also be called upon to collaborate with our Graphic Artist in the creation of marketing posters, fliers and other materials.

Education/ Qualifications:

Master's in Library Science- 4 years of experience working with electronic library resources including support of SharePoint administrators and Web developers.   Skills include work with SharePoint- setting up and administering sites- with special attention to managing access hierarchies.  Experience with Dreamweaver, Adobe Creative Suite- especially Photoshop, Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint desired.  Knowledge of 508 compliance standards will be helpful, but not strictly required.  An understanding of HTML and experience with webpage design will be very helpful.
