I'm an internal candidate for a branch supervisor position in my library system. I've been on plenty of interviews but his is the first time I've applied for a promotion and I want to get an idea of what kinds of questions will be asked when interviewing for a supervisory position specifically.

Thanks!
Hollis

Try this site for sample questions. http://www.libsci.sc.edu/career/invufaqs.htm

You can also just ask yourself "How do I do . . .? " and apply it to any of the required qualifications in the posting. So if they require "supervisory skills" you need to be able to state how you apply the experience that you currently have. You have supervised 3 people and you handled problems with scheduling and with improper dress by doing whatever. It gives you a pretty good idea what they want to know---even if that is not how the questions are phrased.
