Hi,

Is it typical for a university library to offer relocation assistance for an in-state move of 200 miles? Thanks.

There is nothing "typical" in academic libraries, unless they are working from a state law.

It is a state university.

yes, I think is fairly typical for academic libraries to pay relocation. I've worked for 2 state institutions that have both willingly paid relocation, but out of private (not state) funds. State institutions have many pots of money that are not funded by the legislature.

The state may have a rule or the university will have their own.

It is best you ask the institution directly rather than speculating or asking for uninformed posts on a forum.
