Part of being on the tenure track is also understanding your role on your campus and maximizing it on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis. How you navigate through relationships on campus with students, staff, faculty, departments, committees and administration can shape your thoughts on how you are developing professionally, what others think of you and how they want to work with you in the future . . . or not. What are some of the events (interpret loosely) you have experienced that you feel have been good for you, are best to avoid, or your concerns about how to handle? Also, what activities on campus have you found to be, or will be, a great advantage to your building of strong and positive relationships on your campus? We are all aware we are expected to be active on our campuses, but where do we go once start? AND, if you have been on the tenure track for a while, do you feel that all this effort is worth it?
