I'm looking for some other's thoughts on what to wear for an interview at a public library. My previous jobs have all been in the private corporate sector where a suit was the norm. Is this the case for pl's as well? I know that looking professional is vital, but can I forget the power suit?

If you have a suit, wear it. You are never over dressed in an interview if you wear a suit. But, anything less and someone may judge you under dressed. It is always better to play it safe.

I would always recommend wearing a business suit in any type of interview. I agree that you simply cannot be overdressed for an interview.
