Long story short -
I've been at my new job - and first out of grad school - for two weeks. It's a great position at an academic library with a lot of energy, from administration, staff and students. I"m learning a lot and feel as feel comfortable here. The commute is horrible, I've moved away from my finance (close enough to see each other on weekends) and other support systems. I received an unsolicited job offer yesterday from another academic library system that is, to not put too much pressure on it - a dream job. It's part of a reputable university system, much more stability, better pay, better benefits, more responsibility and closer, i.e. walking distance from "home." I know, I know, fortunate is me.
So my question to you is, if I decide to leave the current (new) job, how do I do so without looking the total fool/unprofessional? Obviously honesty is best but is there some catch-all phrase that will/can cover this?
Thoughts? Suggestions?
Thanks!

I think you'd look more of a fool if you didn't take it.
"An unexpected opportunity arose." What more do you need to say?
If I were the administrator, I'd be surprised (and privately unhappy) but would have to wish you well.

Many organizations have a probation period and would not be afraid to release a candidate during that time. You should feel no different if a better opportunity came up for you. Just do not make any hasty efforts until a new opportunity is confirmed - IN WRITING. It would be disaster to find yourself with no job.

Thanks gentlemen. As a longtime lurker and first time poster, I appreciate your efforts and comments. BCGray - you line of thinking as it pertains to the 90 day probation period mirrored mine exactly.
