I was feeling like such a loser because I didn't get any bulbs planted in my new yard this fall. Now I'm thinking it's probably a good thing.

That seems widely variable. I live maybe 5 miles from Rachel ... no early daffodils that I know of.

I've been monitoring my tulips and daffodils and crocuses, and I'm shocked that none of them have peeked up yet, especially the crocuses. It's been early spring-ish down in central Illinois for most of the winter, except for one week in December where it was nasty-cold.

Of course, now I'm worried that none of them are going to come up and that I planted them wrong or too late or got old bulbs or something like that. We'll see.
