hello!
I'm a big Paulo Coelho's fan and I don't know if you heard about his blog
http://www.paulocoelhoblog.com
I've started as a fan and now I'm collaborating with him and thought that you would like to enter his universe.
Check the blog.
if you want, or subscribe to his newsletter
http://www.warriorofthelight.com/engl/index.html
You'll see a community of warriors of light sharing ideas, dreams and most importantly following their personal legend.

QUOTE OF THE DAY:

"In love lies the seed of our growth. The more we love, the closer we are to the spiritual experience"

Have a nice day!

There are an issue here that, in my view, needs to be explained to the bean-counter types who frequently run publishing companies.

Bookstores and libraries have been giving away free publicity for many years ... this is a *good thing* but unacknowledged. Publishers do *not* have the ability (or desire) to advertise and promote every title.

Now that independent small bookstores -- and their bookish owners -- are fading away, readers who use the big chains and/or Amazon (etc.) are faced with a lot more uncertainty.

Giving the text of a book away in order to make a name is something of a loss-leader but Coehlo is hardly the first.
